Today is Martin Luther King Day

Dernière mise à jour : 18 janv. 2023

On this day we remember Martin Luther King Jr., a symbol of the fight against injustice and racism. I remember arriving into Montgomery, Alabama on a cold morning, standing in front of this wall with our small group of parents and students on our Black History in America trip. We came to learn the history, we entered into Brian Stevenson's museum where we learned how that history has merely been transferred to modern day slavery with mass incarceration (www.eji.org). We traveled throughout the south that week, learning, crying, being inspired, and believing that "a change is gonna come!" and knowing that for us and for our children, we will be a part of that change.
